Since its inception and official
recognition in 2001, the PSA division has seen a steady growth of
its membership. By being an integral part of the Adhesion Society,
the PSA division is in the unique position to be able to present
the technology in the context of adhesion science as a whole. This
brings invaluable breadth of knowledge, perspective, experience,
and insight to the papers and discussions. In addition, the PSA
division provides a unique forum that addresses the whole PSA
industry and not any particular sector. The Adhesion Society
attracts a significant number of the global experts in all aspects
of adhesion science to its annual meeting. Because of this, the
PSA division not only tries to actively involve these experts in
its sessions, but we also strive to bring in only high quality
papers that truly advance the knowledge in adhesion science.
Mission Statement
The function of the PSA Division is
to assist in dissemination of scientific and technical information
for the advancement of PSA science and technology.
One of our
main objectives is to promote strong dialog between the PSA
industry and universities/research institutions by organizing and
running symposia consisting of sessions of orally presented papers
and posters submitted by authors from the US and abroad.
Topics of interest to the
division include, but are not limited to:
|
Advances
in synthesis (new monomers, new additives, new
polymers,...) |
|
Structure-property
relationship / Material and interface characterization. |
|
Advances
in processing (coating, curing, priming,…) |
|
Novel
testing methods / Performance prediction |
|
Release
materials and mechanisms (liners, low adhesion backsizes,…) |
|
Novel
applications |
|
Theories
behind PSA performance |
|
