    ABSTRACT GUIDELINES

    To be considered, presentation proposals (abstracts) should contain timely, applicable and relevant information on research methodology with demonstrative importance to adhesion science and technology. Short abstracts must provide a brief synopsis of the research being presented, and must not exceed 250 words and complete all required fields listed on the form.

    Immediately following the deadline date of September 27, the Program Committee will review all abstract submissions and select those suitable for presentation at the 2025 Annual Meeting. You will be notified shortly thereafter of its decision.  NO EXTENDED ABSTRACT IS REQUIRED FOR THE ANNUAL MEETING ABSTRACT SUBMISSION.

    PEEBLES AWARD SUBMISSIONS
    When applying for the “Peebles Award”, please check the Peebles Award box on the form. You will need to submit an extended abstract via email to adhesionsociety@ascouncil.org as well. Your extended abstract is due on October 4, 2024.  Extended_abstract_template.

    POSTER SESSION GUIDELINES
    Poster size:  42in (height) x 48in (width)
    All posters must be mounted one hour before the scheduled session start. Poster numbers supplied by AS will be in the upper corner of each poster board, and this number corresponds with the number assigned to each poster in the technical program. Pushpins will be available at the poster session. Authors must remain with their posters for the duration of their scheduled session as indicated in the technical program. All posters must remain up until the session ends and then must be removed within one hour after conclusion of the session. The Adhesion Society cannot assume responsibility for materials beyond these time limits.

    The Adhesion Science & Technology Short Course will be held February 15-16, 2025 PRIOR to the Annual Meeting. This course provides an introduction and overview to a variety of critically important topics in the field of adhesion. Highlighting the significant contributions that surfaces, adhesive chemistry, polymer behavior, and mechanics make to measured adhesion, the course provides strategic insights for bonding success ranging from structural to soft matter adhesion. Participants have gone away with a deeper knowledge that includes practical concepts for understanding and improving adhesion. The course is traditionally offered in conjunction with Adhesion Society's Annual Meeting, taking advantage of an outstanding group of instructors that would not otherwise be available in a single course. Each topic is presented by a scientist who is a world leader in that area. This gives the attendees the opportunity to learn from and interact with scientists whose expertise provides a unique view into the history, science, and relevance of their topic. We are continuing this tradition for an in-person event held the week prior to the Annual Meeting, and encourage you to consider attending for a great overview of key adhesion concepts. The course will include 12 lecture hours with ample Q&A spread over 1.5 short days.

    The Adhesion Society brings together a diverse collection of academic and industrial scientist and engineers devoted to the characterization of surfaces and the thermomechanical properties of polymers, biomaterials, and adhesives.  An exhibit event would welcome a diverse collection of publishers, specialty chemical suppliers, instrument suppliers, etc. with a focus on polymeric materials, including surface characterization, thermal analysis, mechanical properties, rheological properties, and adhesive characterization.  The exhibit would expose 200+ researchers to cutting edge advances in adhesion science, technology, and characterization of materials.

     NOTE: Fee includes one table, two chairs, dedicated space and registration for one person from your company to attend the Annual Meeting and staff the tabletop. You may exhibit on the tabletop, use a backdrop and/or pop-up displays.  If more than one person is attending, please process the registration under the Annual Meeting regular registration fee.

This event will include a two-day short course being held February 15-16 (Sat-Sun), a poster session, exhibition, student award symposium, and concurrent technical sessions. Presentations for the meeting are solicited in all areas of Adhesion Science and Technology.
